Celluloid - A Tribute to Malayallam Cinema

Already there are many reviews and recognition given to this landmark cinema. Few things that made me bring up a smile on face always when I think about this movie.

  • Even though there are many critics regarding the censor board, personally I feel Malayalam movie directors they conceive the message what they thought and even sway the board members in a convincing way.
  • The movie was beautifully carried over by the lead actors veteran Sreenivasan, Prithiviraj, Mamta and Chandini , a singer  who played the role of P. K. Rosie
  • Kamal, the director the way he crafted the movie without spoiling the novel or adding his own influence is simply awesome. Thanks to Mr. Chelangatt Gopalakrishnan for registering it in the form of novel.
  • Venu’s video graph and Jayachnadran’s soundtrack is very much prompt for the movie.
  • The dialogues are uncompromised and dealt on a straight forward way which greatly helps the movie to reach the category of “True Cinema”
  • The very minor negative point I feel is budget of the movie shows some poor cosmetic and sets throughout the movie and some scenes are directed very flat as stage dramas. But with 3.6 crore making this attempt is splendid. Hats off to Murali Cinemas for believed in the script and produced the movie.

  • The touching part was the intention to make Mr.J.C.Daniel remember and giving right credit to his very first movie of Malayalam “Vigathakumaran” is to be appreciated rightly.

  • Even though Mr.Daniel didn’t receive those things when he was alive but the generation upcoming will not forget the legend and the pain he suffered because of Castisam and other issues on his literary period.

  • This movie should have been taken in Tamil first and celberated their native person J.C.Daniel in a right way. But pathetic thing was they totally forgot the legend and the native state Kerala is celeberating and giving proper recongintion to a Tamilian.
